Barry Perlmutter

Barry is President of Perlmutter & Idea Development (P&ID) LLC.  He has over 42 years of international process and technical marketing experiences and leadership in the field of solid-liquid separation including filtration, centrifugation, and process drying.  His skills focus on process solutions, innovation strategy, market expansion and business development for applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical, energy/environmental and lithium/battery industries and has been responsible for introducing many European companies and technologies into the Americas marketplace. Barry’s two books for Elsevier “The Handbook Solid Liquid-Filtration” and “Integration & Optimization of Unit Operations” are used worldwide for process guidance.  He has a BS in chemistry from Albany State University, MS from the School of Engineering at Washington University St. Louis and an MBA from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
